The working principle and characteristics of photovoltaic inverter

The working principle of photovoltaic inverter:

The core of the photovoltaic inverter device is the inverter switching power supply circuit, collectively referred to as the inverter circuit. The circuit realizes the function of inverter by turning on and off the power electronic switch.

Photovoltaic inverter features:
1. Satisfy high efficiency
Because the price of solar cells is relatively expensive, in order to maximize the use of solar cells and improve system efficiency, many manufacturers have begun to try to improve the efficiency of inverters.

2. The input voltage should reach a wide range of adaptation
Because the terminal voltage of the solar installation battery changes with the load and sunshine intensity. When the battery is aging, the transition range of its terminal voltage is relatively large. For example, a battery with negative 12, its terminal voltage is likely to change between negative 10 and negative 16, which requires the inverter to be within a larger DC input voltage range. Make sure it works properly.

3. Satisfy high stability
At this stage, photovoltaic systems are usually located in remote areas, and many power stations are unattended and maintained. This requires photovoltaic inverters to have a reasonable circuit structure, rigorous component selection, and require inverters to meet these requirements. Protection functions, such as: input DC polarity reverse polarity protection, AC output short circuit protection, overheating, overload protection, etc.
